Job Overview:
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) / Teller is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while performing a variety of routine banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and payments. The role involves maintaining an accurate cash drawer, identifying customer needs, and cross-selling bank products and services to enhance customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping people, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner, addressing their banking needs efficiently.
• Transactions: Accurately process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing.
• Cash Handling: Maintain an accurate cash drawer, ensuring all transactions are balanced and discrepancies are addressed promptly.
• Cross-Selling: Identify customer needs and promote relevant bank products and services such as savings accounts, loans, and credit cards.
• Compliance & Security: Adhere to all banking regulations, policies, and procedures to maintain security and confidentiality.
• Account Inquiries: Assist customers with inquiries regarding their accounts, provide account information, and resolve any issues.
• Problem-Solving: Handle customer complaints and concerns with professionalism.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with branch team members while maintaining a positive and productive environment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous customer service or cash handling experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks.
• Basic math skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow within the bank.
